Yep, haha. Nice idea, I think having the grid display would work great, it would look neat too.

And I think the Support Area section should be advertised everywhere too (especially on the FR2 db in case some people have trouble).

JTC's "edit profile" idea is really good.
have something on the home page that says "recent forum activity" with recent replies to threads (thepage said something like this is in the works)
also, do the same thing on the homepage of specific games. i.e. the coloraze homepage would have something to the left that says "recent Coloraze forum activity" and it will have recent replies to Coloraze threads
Advertise the forums more on the home page
also advertise more on game homepage - i.e. at the top of the fr2 home page have it say something like "Free Rider 2 forums" and it'll take you to the fr2 forum
i'll try to think of more

edit - there already is a thing at the top of the fr2 section that says forums. I've never noticed that

Firstly, I think Trackmill 2012 awards would be nice, In addition I would like to see some
contests in non-spotlight games and Coloraze, and maybe another Survivor(this time more prepared, and thought out), I feel this would help unite or bring more members to Trackmill. I also think the moderators/admins should get to know the users better, and know all the games, so everyone mod/admin could help out person A with their problems. Also, there are too many subforums in the Fr2 section, say you are a new member on the forums, and have a great new track, and you make a thread, then someone comments in a pro gallery, but you want your thread to be the the featured one in the section, so you double post, and this can go on for 4-5 posts in a row. There are also too many unnecessary stickied threads, for example some locked threads like the old Survivor and some others. I really have to stress this, but some mods/admins sticky their personal threads to get them noticed more, which I don't think is right. I also think mods/admins shouldn't be as lenient on the rules, as underoath said I don't want to make it into a concentration camp, but don't be so lenient. Another suggestion is to have a featured game of the month (after a while some would be repeated) where you focus on that game for a month, executing some suggestions, making some updates, hosting a contest, making a signature about that game, or fixing some bugs. I also would really like to see more people focus in the non-spotlight games on Trackmill.

this was a bit to read, but let me see if i can provide some discussion.

i really enjoy that some events have been sucessfull (trackmill awards, and survivor) i really would like to have these on the forum, the only problem is that there is such a small amount of activity that would be put into these contests. the perfect time for these to come back into play would be when we get a much higher forum activity rate.

as for relations between member and staff, i think this is very important. i myself try to be a part of the community as much as i can (however much that may be) but the fact of it is, most staff are very busy, especially goose and the other admins. im not calling anybody out here, by the way, i hope nobody feels that way. :p

we dramatically reduced the sub forums a bit ago. (yes, we used to have a lot more) i might go into thinking of a more effeciant way of minimizing the SF's, but we have so many things to talk about here, it would be a hard task.

as for new members and bumping, there really is no way fix this other than a little slap on the wrist.

yes, there are some very useless sticked threads. if you want to give me a few that you can think of, i can get on un-stickying them.

lastly, i love this idea. we actually had something like this before z3ro left. i am thinking about re-introducing this. but again, when there are a bit more people, or else it will be pointless.

I'm not sure how this would work, but maybe a member interview talking about how he/she likes trackmill, and his/her favorite game, and not only post this interview on the Tm homepage, but also on his/her favorite game home page.

advertise TM games on sites like Kongregate

I remember a long time ago goose was talking about making a sample version of SSS with 10 or so user created levels to put on other sites, why not do this with all trackmill games. (games developed by trackmill specifically)

this is a pretty interesting idea. i could see a "featured member" working out quite well. have it like every month or so?

I would suggest every other month, and I would also like to see new videos on the Trackmill t.v. if we ever do a featured game every month.
